Aquatic Therapy
The use of
a warm water environment for rehabilitation of all types of injuries is
rapidly increasing and is something that we are proud to offer to our patients
at Nannen and Harte Physical Therapy.
Aquatic rehabilitation techniques allow earlier and more aggressive intervention that maximizes physiologic function and recovery from injury. There are many benefits to the use of warm water in rehabilitation, some of which include improved flexibility and range of motion, relaxation, coordination, balance and trunk stability, and muscle balance in building strength.
In the short period of time that we have had the pool, many of our patients
have come to know the improvements in their conditions as a direct result
of the warm water pool workouts. Here is what a few of those patients have
said:
"I always wanted to get active again, but the pain stopped me. The water eased the pain and made it possible to exercise."
"The exercises are so simple and easy.
I wouldn't have imagined how much they helped."
